Greetings all,

I've been riding since '71 and started riding BMW's in '02. I'm a member of numerous forums as I also own a Ducati and a Yamaha as well as a RT and a recently departed KRS. I stumbled upon this site today (insert embarrassed tone here) and was pleasantly surprised to know it existed.

Anyway, after a brief perusal of the site I find myself very impressed with what I see and look forward to learning more about the people and bikes represented here.

My previous K bike experiences have been this beauty:

And this one that just went to a new owner in New Mexico:

The K1 was more of an ocassional weekend ride. It was super nice with only 17K miles on it when I bought it in '02. The K1200RS was my foray into true sport touring and whetted my appetite for more. I'm hoping to snag a low mileage '06 bumblebee sometime soon.

Regards,
Randy :D

Thanks, Jamie. As previously stated I was hoping to become a "bumblebee" owner some time soon and now I are one. The deal got done yesterday so now all I have to do is arrange transport.

I've been on the internet submitting RFQ's and have four back with a range of $515 to $998. Some shippers palletize, some don't and that seems to be the biggest delineator of price.

I've used Federal Transport in the past and had a good experience but this time they are the high bidder. So, I'm open to suggestions.

Regards,
Randy
