BMW K1300R - AmbientLight -

Postby Morris on Thu Jul 29, 2010 12:15 pm

Hi there,

this is my first post in this forum - i got my K1300R since last week and now i searched in a lot of Forums to get some information about the additional equipment.

But every Forum lives from the posts of the users - so i will share my experience with you. Last weekend i installed some selfmade AmbientLight on my K1300R

Just take 2hours / 2 different TorxBits / 3 Becks Beers and a srewdriver. I know - this can be a cop magnet when i drive by - so i installed a switch into the original handlebar to avoid that
the "Eye of Sauron" from the local Cop will catch me....

;)

They are in blue - but i got the cold white and warmwhite also - what do you think looks better ?

Thank you very much - i love this bike after these few days. I sold my Ducati this spring - and now motorbiking become into a new level..

The pictures are not very good, i take them with my mobile phone - in real life they AmbientLight looks much better. I tried this last weekend at Bar in the old town of Heidelberg - sitting in a warm summer night with a beer in your hand - starring to your BMW with the glorious shining BMW-Sign - BEAUTIFUL

With the switch it can be working although the iginition is off. So some people asked me about that

Older man - about 50yrs / 1,65m / 110kg / glasses with gold / ----- "is that LED Light on your cycle ??"
Me : cycle ?? mmmhh... yes it is...
He: Ahaaaaa.....i can see it...
Me : yes, thats why i installed this
He: I had also got an BMW... in the earlier days....
Me: aha...
He: But, there wasnt an LED ..
Me: yes... it looks bullshit on a R25...

;)

Red ??? no - i just got these three colours - but now i think the cold white will also look great !
