K1200R Clutch Cover

Postby GDS968 on Thu Mar 22, 2012 8:02 am

I need a new clutch cover amongst other things due to crashing at a recent track day!! :(

I have an option to get a K1300R cover at a reduced cost instead of the K1200R cover I should have! They both use the same gasket but I have been told by a spares supplying that they are different. Can anyone confirm if they are different etc

cheers

Gary

Yes they are different
The parts number are different
I believe the mount for the slave cylinder is different

If you want a "lighter" clutch pull, the 1300 cover and slave cylinder are compatible with the 1200 engine and clutch.

Thanks BrmTech for the advice, I have managed to get a later cover from a K1300 and fitted a K1200 slave unit.
