Wunderlich Sport-ego bar kit (S1000RR)

Postby Holmesroach on Sat Feb 19, 2011 4:10 pm

Has anyone seen or ridden the bar and triple clamp kit for the s1000rr? I have troubled between the 1300S and the 1000rr for quite some time and thought this bar kit would move the S1000rr up towards the comfortable side. Any opinions would be great! Will post pics when i figure out how.

Good video with the gulf colored bike with sport ego kit installed:

I can't say much about the kit for the S1000RR, but I had a wunderlich kit to raise the bars on my former K1200R and it did the job well and looked good while doing it.

I did the Helibar Kit for both my K1300S and the S1000RR made very little difference but it was enough. I no longer have neck or shoulder pain at all. Hard to believe such a small adjustment can make such a huge improvement.

I have the "sportego" with Rizoma conical bars on my K12R and love-Love-LOVE em'.
I don't know what is currently offered for the S1000RR; but they certainly did it right for me.

I know that the sportego/rizoma setup is adjustable over an arc with a 30mm radius. I do not know how much additional rise sportego base provides. Any estimates? In other words, if I were to orient the rizoma bar at a 45 degree position, providing about 1" back, how much rise would I have?

Heated grips: does installing the Sportego setup force one to give up the stock heated grips?

it gives you max 7cm rise with the ST version :
