New "Poser" sub-species of motorcyclist evolving

"Immaculate Stunters"
I recently visited a local burger shack's "Bike Nite" and noticed several absolutely spotless, custom painted SuperBikes and SuperSports wearing all the massive crash-bars etc for "Stunting". As mentioned they were all cherry and without a mark, ding, scratch or dent!

"Icon" back & chest protectors are now big with the SoCalifornia moto-youth. They are usully worn over the riders windbreaker or T-shirt or wife beater. Although usually complemented by the KNARLIEST of raceing gloves; arms and legs are commonly bare, and athletic shoes sans socks are still a favorite for the feet.

Add in the helmet mohawk, and you have the squid scene here in Fredericksburg, Va.! You should see the looks I get When I roll up on the RR, pop my lid, and all the kids see the grey hair!

You probably get even more looks when you demonstrate that you can ACTUALLY ride!

This made laugh out loud only because I can so relate.
I am only 39 and I shave my head (no hair grows on top anyway) but the goatee is quickly getting more gray than brown.
And yes the kids wear the same stuff, including the mohawk.

Invite them along to a track ride day.
They are usually the ones who crash on the first corner :)

Ah Bernard (yes I still do troll here... :) )
I had 6 gray hair when the ripe old age of 16. Fully gray at mid-twenties. My bloody mothers legacy! ;)

At least you don't have the hoodie-wearing chavs on scooters! The main reason I hate them is they can wheelie their race-exhaust scooters for about 7 blocks.... The wee buggers.

Hi Rick!, Nice to see you :)

I had 6 gray hair when the ripe old age of 16. Fully gray at mid-twenties. My bloody mothers legacy!

Me too, but from my father ... :)
It was inconvenient, when I liked a pretty girl, the mother came first and courted me
