After replacing 3 screens successfully, i thought it was about time i mentioned the best video i have seen on youtube for guidance
Couple of quick points worth noting that they dont mention in the video:
Get a piece of cardboard and place all the screws on the cardboard with a description of where they went. Most of the screws are different and there are about 9 different types (all are very small)
For the Main MCB Screw, buy a small flat head screw driver (youll know which one im talking about as it is the only one that another screw, screws in to, pic below)

Make sure before reassembly (link for reassembly included in video) that the ear piece of the replacement screen has the mesh in place, if not, this needs removing from the old screen.
Buy a screen from ebay with the tool kit included, the small torz bits on the bottom of the phone are difficult if you dont have the correct tool (though i have done it with a small phillips screw driver)
When replacing the speaker / microphone section at the bottom, make sure that the small black cable is pulled forward before installing the main MCB. Getting this caught under the MCB assembly can be a pain.
DO NOT REPLACE THE BATTERY CONNECTION BEFORE REPLACING THE MAIN MCB 5 RIBBON CONNECTIONS AT THE TOP OF THE MCB AS INSTRUCTED IN THE VIDEO ! Connect the battery last.
When pulling the ribbons included in the screen through the chasis, make sure that both ribbons are pulled through, the horizontal ribbon connector should be longer than the vertical one and does have a tendency to kink.
if anyone has a bash at changing their screen and you are struggling, i am happy to strip it all back down again and photograph the process !
