TouchBB is an iPhone and iPod touch application that allows you to read forums while on the go. It is much easier to use than browsing a forum through Safari because you don't have to pinch and zoom every screen while navigating. The data that is transmitted is optimized for mobile connections.

Great! Hadn't heard of it, but now I not only got the app I also installed it in the small forum I run for a few friends. Very easy on a mobile, much better than the mobile site.

If any of you guys get the constant annoying pop ups when browsing the forum using a handheld's built in internet browser, download the app, enter you username and password and then you can browse the forum using the inbuilt IE or Safari (if you choose to) popup free.

Just to add to that last post, for some reason, even if you do have the apps the pop ups can happen if you clear Safari's cache.

If you have cleared the cache and the pop ups come back, go to settings, safari, and accept cookies from visited. Stops the pop ups after the first round !

Well that sucks. I use Tapatalk ALOT, particularly to read this forum on my Android.

sorry, it crashed our site. it was a major effort to get it back up this morning. sorry to all, but no more Tapatalk!

I use the forum on my android phone as well, just using browser and it works out good.

If you are an apple user you can use TouchBB, which only requires a single file to be activated on my site. Tapatalk crash really ruined my Saturday and I had to do a lot of research and go to a few support forums to finally get is sorted with lots of head scratching and worry. It was a solid 5 hours work. Also I never got any response from Tapatalk support.

Since iOS6, any embedded videos in a thread cause the TouchBB app to immediately launch Safari to play the video link. It's really, really annoying. Is anyone else seeing this? Anyway to stop it? Also, the videos no longer show as "click to play" like they did when running TouchBB on iOS5.

Yeah, just wondered if anyone else was seeing this behavior. I checked the TouchBB site, but it has been 4-5 months since there have been any posts in their forums. Almost seems abandoned. I'm sure that it is something that they need to tweak for iOS 6.

I have also noticed this strange and annoying behaviour since the new iOS. I do not know if there is a cure for it yet. Perhaps the next update will improve things. Wish they tested things solidly before releasing these updates!
