The identical replacement which is now nine months old has the 30000km service on Wednesday. Only thing so far was a very slight rear drive oil seepage.

chefat: 100000kl is a lot of water old son, I'd be checking the radiator for leaks. :D

PaulC have checked no leaks lol

My annual mileage is WAY down from past years also. Bebe is only now comming up on 50,000 miles(80,467.Km).

When Bebe was new she felt a bit 'rough' at times. Now she is like an electric motor; but with a far superior sound track.

I have a 2005 k1200r that I bought second hand about 2008 with 29,000kms onboard.

I now have 75,000kms on the odometer. in that time I have had only one major issue that was with leaking seals in the rear wheel. I'll need to check the invoices and make sure I tell you exactly what was done. Did cost me in excess of $2,000 and was off the road for about 6 weks waiting for parts!

Other than replacing tyres, I have resprayed the silver parts white and the improvement visyually is brilliant. Attracts a lot of positive comments.

I have noticed that the black plastic is not liking the Aussie sun, despite being tucked away in the garage when home and in an undergorund park during the day? I paln to have them sprayed black soon.

What else:
- battery replaced about 2 years ago;
- came with a Staintune pipe, sounds good with the optional end bit. If I leave that out babies sit up in prams to see what's coming :)
- couple of light blubs;
- powder coating near the left footpeg is wearing away;
- have a small windsceen extender, works nicely;
- one of those mesh seat covers for the pillion, works a treat, wife loved it.
- pads of course.

Still love it, but I'm realsistic to know it would be hard to resell. Love the ride position, so comfortable. Probably pass it onto my son :)

Here you go (I hope?). This pic was shot outside Mt Isa. We travelled from Sydney to Mt Isa then across to Cairns for a ride last winter. Too many straight roads. Got booked for 150 in a 120 zone also in the middle of f*****g no where too.

Had the BMr panniers but off for this ride to the dam.

No drama's for either of us; my mate on a GS1200. Left the bikes in Cairns and flew home. Ros roda hsi back a few months later. I had the r trucke down to Brisbane and rode home from there. Great trip, if like seeing space.

What a great place we live in! I love touring around Oz, except when the bastards get you in the middle of nowhere, when you least expect it :)
Interesting combination of different coloured wheels....
BTW, it's so easy to put on all those kilometres on this continent. Lots of warm weather and lots of roads!

Colour scheme copied from an early power cup race bike. My rs125 race bikes have the same, I like it.

My K12R has 78,500km.
Just now, the rear wheel flange failed, and it made the rear brake disk fail.
The front disk might, or might not need replacing... they are at 4.00mm, and it says min thickness: 4.5mm, Bernardo thinks they are ok. (not warped at all).

Also had the wheel rectified and repainted. They had so many bumps that wouldn't seal properly anymore.

Will have the Wunderlich handlebar riser installed.

... and I'm probably looking a new shocks... we'll see...

Great bike though, bought it at 35K km, and has 78.5K km now, afer 18 months of riding... not bad for a newbie.
