Removing the dash?

Postby throttlemeister on Tue Mar 13, 2012 5:17 am

Does anyone know how to remove the dash on the K1200S? I don't have my RepROM at hand and I need to remove the speedo/tach so I can replace the face plates.

Anyone know or have the RepROM at hand to show me an image?

Thanks Bernardo. Looks like I've got me some work on my hands again.

I had mine out recently to polish out the scratches in the lenses and if I recall I just removed the screen and everything else was accessible from there. I don't recall swearing too much :-) Cheers.

Cheers Ken, gonna try that first. Gonna replace the face plates with white versions, as the speedo is discoloring (cheap conversion from mls to km by the dealer no doubt)

Don't forget to post a pic afterwards, incl one at night so we can see the illumination difference. Also might be worth mentioning where you got the dials from. Cheers.
