S1000SR?

Hi all.
Been a while since i last came here - but i saw this on the front of Motorrad and had to pass it along.

I do like the idea. Light weight, high performance but with comfy ergos for us street only riders.

Seems another jap like Naked Yamaha or Suzuki, may be with more power, certainly would not trade Fiona for this bike, K13R is unique in design, torque and final transmision. Only my opinion!

if they do go naked on the RR, it should be called S 1000 R, in keeping with K 1300 R, F 800 R and R 1200 R. Not RS, which would mean Sport Touring.

I agree that it looks like an R bike - a rival for bikes like the Speed Triple and the Tuono.

The MCN today has a spy shot of it and is calling is S1000SR. Which is not bad. I would just call it S1000R though. But will see what the final name will be.
