Here's a sneak preview of the Sargent World Sport Seat for the K1200S. They just e-mailed me these images. They are planning to make a version for the K1200GT as well. I think this is the best looking seat for the K-S that I have seen to date. Availability is Spring 2007. http://www.SargentCycle.com

Seat Features:
Rear seat can be quickly swapped out for a trunk unit via quarter turn fasteners.
Quick-release passenger backrest

Trunk Features:
Lockable, spring assisted lid provides wide easy access to contents
Auto switched LED lighted interior
Felt lined storage area

It's about time!!! I've been on that waiting list forever now. Glad to see it is as nice as I was hoping for, now to wait for the price.

I think the K12R's seat will be out soon as well....

That looks great, will the surace have better 'grab' than the BMW orginal. When I'm not wearing leathers, I slip around on mine!

I really could do with this now, my bike has been vandalised and the seat has been knifed! Doh!

I'm slightly scared to find out the pricing on this unit.

Seeing how our ZAR currency is currently worse than monopoly money...
I had a similar setup on my CBR1100XX, and loved it!
Changes the look of the bike and also stops all those requests for pillion space.

Try a Triboseat cover , I got one on my seat and it really works, they do the passenger one or rider or both..

There have been quite a few dates over the last 18 months. Let's hope this is the one.

yeah i used to wait with hopes of purchasing the seat.
by the time they get the seat made i will have puchased a new bike.
i had an upholsterer cut the seat down to fit.
works great, feels much better, and cost $25.
i'll use my money on other niceties.

Corbin's KS seat

Postby WGreene on Sun Jul 01, 2007 2:04 am

Corbin has a very nice seat and I think a much better looking rear trunk. I've bought Corbin before and the quality is great and the price is not cheap but not a killer either. They claim color matching but I have no experience with it. The seat I had was a carbon fiber for a VFR and they piped it with silver to match the bike and the small round oval backrest is easy to put on when you have a friend that wants to come along.

Looks like the Sargent seat is being released this Friday.

Wish I was excited. It seems like years ago that Sargent was coming out with this seat.

Oh yeah, it was years ago!

Oh well. The stock seat is not so bad afterall.
