Thanks to everyone who made our first and 2nd annual Super Sunday ride such a success. We had groups meeting in several countries in the world all on the same day to celebrate the new K bikes. Of course next year, all global rallies will also include the new S1000 bikes.

It's time to start thinking about our Global Super Sunday III, world rally. This time the event will be on Sunday, September 20, 2009.

I'll have more to say about this later, but I just wanted to set the date so you guys can start thinking about it, talking about it and planning it during the upcoming riding the season...

This one is going to be real special. :) S

So, Let's start a dialog: :)

Where does South Africa stand? They put out the biggest show, and South Africa BMW has been sponsoring the event for two years in a row.

How about UK, our biggest membership group? How about forming two groups, South and North of UK.

California? Our Cali riders normally come through for us.

And the Australians have been just way too quiet...

Let's hear it, one and all... Thank you, S 8)

jamie came up with the Superbike Sunday the Sequel for last year's event....

Not quite, I think it might have been Biza.

Although no biggie, I’m actually not a fan of “Superbike” in the title. BMW Superbike says something but over here – and I suspect it’s the case elsewhere as well – a standalone “Superbike” in an event’s name makes venue owners, relaxed tour type riders and mothers with young children, instantly wary.

My vote would go to SuperSunday III. It ties in with previous events and symbolically it’s also the founder’s initials – fit for our 5 year anniversary.

Or GSS III - GlobalSuperSunday III or FTP III – FaceThePower III

The name was the easy part.........I’m almost certain we (melady and I) might be otherwise engaged that weekend.........but as they say – the show must go on.

We have had good California showings in the past. I think 2009 is going to be our biggest and Cali and certainly Australia should make a good showing this year.

If you want to take the lead on California, start a new thread in this section of the forum: viewforum.php?f=43 and make it happen.

I also expect our members from UK, who have been our second busiest in the past to make a great showing as well.

The event can be on either Saturday or Sunday. :) S

Jamie,

I can take the blame for the nomenclature of last year's event. You wouldn't believe the royalties that I have collected... (hint to Shiva)

Shiva hi,

I have been trying to find K1200S or K1200R owners in Turkey. Sadly, without many success. However, I am assuming there are some members who joined this site at one time or another but not writing anymore. Is there a possibility to search members based on their location? If they have given their emails, I can contact each single one of them via email and see what happens. So far I have been able to find I person (at another forum). If I can get a list of Turkish people from your site, it'd be easier on my part to contact them and organize a meeting.

Regards,

Omer

To my amusement, he replied already. It seems he sold his K bike and that is the reason he is not very active in the forum at the moment. I am curious about his Busa experience after the K bike. Busa was my first choice before I knew about the K1200S. After more than 1 year and 25K km I have no regrets. Though sometimes I wonder what it would be like to drive one. Busa owners seem to have less complaints from their bikes compared to K1200 bike owners. To my amusement the BMW's have far more small glitches than I would expect. Far more meaning, far more for BMWs. Would it have been any other brand, I would say it's normal.
